Personal pics! Because I am pretty sure people like that sort of thing?

Mostly, I’m just excited because my very tiny super-strong magnets arrived today, so I could finally put up the postcards I’ve been collecting. That, and my room is currently clean enough to share pictures of it. :)

01. My bedroom overall. The bedding set was a birthday present last year. The scarf is a souvenir from a trip to San Francisco (and serves as a surprisingly excellent light blocker). In the mirror, you can see the new shelves hung over my desk. The desk area is a work in progress, so no pictures of that corner today.

02. My new dresser! This was a gift from my parents. It started out a month ago as a seriously neglected dresser in my parents’ basement, housing a family of spiders. I picked out a shiny new (bright!) color and got some modern pulls, and my dad fixed it all up for me. My mom actually bought both the lamp and the lovely coordinating Sherlock art, because she’s the coolest.

03. My relocated bookcase! I genuinely enjoying telling people that those two shelves are all the books I own. Mostly because it makes my roommate cry. The random Christmas lights were also a gift from my parents. And my… plastic storage thingy! Look, my room is pretty narrow and that closet is not very big; I don’t have a ton of space (hence the new shelves), so I have to take advantage of whatever storage I can find. Plus, panda!

04. Finally, my door! The pièce de résistance! That big metal door leads to the building’s laundry room (which is super convenient), and I figured rather than put holes in the walls and/or the postacards, I’d hang them with magnets. Some of those were bought several months ago, and some were my Christmas gift from my Stef. I made the calendar and the Renner pic this evening to fill it out some. I may buy more at some point to finish the whole door, but I’m pretty psyched with it for now. [If you open the picture in another tab or whatever, you can see them all pretty clearly.]
